5 Scouting Knots
All lectures in this course are presented in high-definition video and digital stereo audio. All knots are tied FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE PERSON DOING THE TYING. No more trying to figure out how what you see on the screen matches what you see in front of you! With our approach, your hands can follow along and match the presenter's. Pause the video at anytime if you get stuck and you'll easily be able to see if you're on the right track.
We want you to learn how to master these basic but important knots. We do that by taking a very methodical approach to presenting each knot in a detailed fashion, from different angles and perspectives, to help you fully understand each knot rather than just trying to memorize hand and rope movements.
Jeff has a unique and thorough teaching style (OK... maybe a little OCD at times). In his day job he works as a software engineer and enjoys reducing complex and difficult topics into more manageable chunks which are easier to learn. He is a Washington state CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) member and believes knots (and a ton of other things) are an important part of personal disaster preparedness.
